Expo by Bike
Expo by Bike è un’iniziativa di FIAB (Federazione Italiana Amici della Bicicletta), una serie di itinerari guidati in bicicletta a partire dal sito di Expo. Una delle idee di partenza del nostro progetto è stata: c’è Expo si parla di sostenibilità, vita, alimentazione, ambiente, non si può andare ad Expo col SUV! Quindi ci andiamo in bicicletta. Ci siamo resi conto di come intorno alla zona ci fosse una rete di piste ciclabili e ci siamo detti: questo è il momento per far conoscere sia a chi vive qui ma anche a chi viene da fuori che anche in questa parte di città, così densa, c’è la natura e per scoprirla il mezzo migliore è la bicicletta.

Expo by Bike is an initiative by FIAB (Italian Federation of the Friends of the Bicycle), a series of guided bike itineraries that start from the Expo site. One of the initial ideas for our project was: Expo is happening, the focus is on sustainability, life, nutrition, environment. You can’t possibly drive an SUV to get to Expo! So we go there on our bikes. We realised that the area was surrounded by a web of cycling lanes and we said to ourselves: this is the time to tell people who live here and to those coming from other areas that we can find nature also in this densely populated part of the city, and that the best way to do so is by cycling.
