Rappresento le donne del Mediterraneo che hanno sfamato intere generazioni con il cous cous, con grande dignità, fantasia, con gran gusto, lavorando di buon mattino. In qualità di madrina del cous cous rappresento questo piatto che unisce tutti perché coinvolge il contadino, il mugnaio, il pescatore, le donne e tutta la comunità che vive intorno a loro, dalla filiera del grano fino al piatto in tavola.

I represent the women of the Mediterranean who have fed entire generations with their couscous, with great dignity, imagination, taste, working early in the morning. As the couscous ambassador, I represent this dish that unites everybody, because it involves the farmers, the millers, the fishermen, the women and the whole community around them, from the wheat production chain to the plate on the table.
