YOO-OOH sticks
L’idea è nata dall’incontro con una cliente coreana e da un pranzo insieme. Ci siamo inventate queste posate che da un lato sono bacchette orientali e dall’altro sono coltello e forchetta all’occidentale in maniera tale che tutti gli ospiti di Expo potessero utilizzare lo stesso strumento per provare il cibo di ogni cultura. Si è poi aggiunto il discorso materiale, attraverso Material ConneXion che ha organizzato un seminario sul tema di Expo: una bioplastica compostabile e biodegradabile con dentro dei semini a scelta in modo da poter piantare ovunque queste posate e farne crescere un ricordo di Expo.

YOO-OOH sticks
The idea was born during a lunch I had with a Korean client. We came up with this cutlery that was on one side a set of Asian chopsticks, and on the other a western knife or fork, so that all Expo visitors could use the same tool to taste food from any culture. We then explored the issue of materials, thanks to Material ConneXion, who organised a workshop on Expo: we adopted a bioplastic containing small seeds, so that the cutlery could be planted anywhere and grow into a memory of Expo.
