Retired Mao
Mao è la figura di un pensionato o comunque di un uomo che non ha molto da fare e che si piazza davanti a delle cose, le guarda e silenziosamente le commenta. Non è nè pro nè contro Expo, fotografa una situazione, sta lì e la guarda, guarda i cantieri. Magari bofonchia, magari no, non importa. La cosa è stata fatta per ridere, è nata da uno scherzo ed è andata avanti come uno scherzo però il fatto di Expo è una cosa seria. Lui è stato una sorta di supervisore alla parte preparatoria di Expo2015, ora non ha ancora deciso cosa farà durante l’evento, posto che i cantieri chiudano tutti.

Mao is a character representing a pensioner or in any case a man who has a lot of time on his hands and just stands in front of things, looking at them and silently commenting. He is neither for nor against Expo, he observes a situation, he watches the construction sites. Maybe he mutters to himself, maybe not, it doesn’t matter. It all started as a joke and it went on in this spirit, but Expo is a serious matter. Mao was kind of a supervisor of the Expo2015 preparations; he hasn’t decided yet what he will do during the event, provided that all construction works come to an end.
