Radio 24 / Terra in vista – L’Expo spiegato a mio figlio (e ai genitori dei suoi amici)!
Sono giornalista ma ho un background piuttosto sfaccettato, faccio divulgazione scientifica, faccio cose per bambini e ragazzi, tratto di tematiche europee e in particolare per radio 24, che è l’emittente per cui sono qui in Expo, conduco un programma che si intitola Terra in vista – L’Expo spiegato a mio figlio (e ai genitori dei suoi amici)! che è un tentativo di trattare i grandi temi dell’Expo a misura di bambino e di ragazzo, che è poi una scusa per farli comprendere a tutti. Prendo domande che i bambini fanno, ad esempio: chiedi ai bambini di fare delle domande sulla sostenibilità e vengo fuori domande curiose. Chi è che sostiene la terra? è vero che la terra è malata? è vero che c’è la plastica che si fa con i pomodori? cose che magari sentono in giro e si fanno queste grandi domande. Noi queste domande le poniamo a dei grandi esperti chiedendo di mantenere però un linguaggio a misura di bambino. Questo è un modo particolare per fare divulgazione scientifica in chiave Expo.

Radio 24 / Terra in vista – Expo explained to my son (and to his friends’ parents)!
I’m a journalist, but I have a somewhat varied background: I also work in the field of science education for children and teenagers, I cover European issues, in particular for Radio 24, which is the radio broadcaster I’m here at Expo for, and I’m the host of Terra in vista – Expo explained to my son (and to his friends’ parents)!, which is an attempt to approach Expo’s great themes from the perspective of children, which in turn is an excuse to explain them to everyone. When you ask children to come up with questions on sustainability, the result is often surprising. Who sustains the Earth? Is it true that the Earth is sick? Is it true that you can make plastic with tomatoes? They hear these things around and ask themselves questions. We ask experts to give us answers to these questions, making sure that the language is understandable for a child. It’s the Expo way of doing scientific education.
